Triggers, automations, macros, views — that’s where most admins start. But your Zendesk is built on much more than business rules.

Today we’re shipping v0.11.0, which expands Configly’s coverage from 12 to 42 object types. That’s a 3.5x increase in visibility across your entire Zendesk configuration.

What’s New

Apps & Integrations

For the first time, Configly tracks your installed marketplace apps, owned apps, OAuth clients, and resource collections. This is a category that no other Zendesk configuration tool handles well. Now you can see exactly which apps are installed, what version they’re running, whether they’re enabled, and what settings they use, all versioned and diffable.

Guide / Help Centre

Articles, sections, categories, themes, user segments, and permission groups are now synced. Configly tracks article metadata (title, section, draft status, last updated) rather than full HTML content — we’re a configuration management tool, not a Help Centre editor. This means you can audit for orphaned articles, stale content, and permission gaps across your knowledge base.

Routing & Omnichannel

For Enterprise plans, Configly now syncs routing attributes, queues, and skills. These are the building blocks of omnichannel routing, and until now they’ve been invisible to configuration management tools.

Custom Objects

Another Enterprise feature now fully supported. Configly tracks your custom object definitions and their field schemas, giving you version history and diff capability on what’s traditionally been a “set and forget” configuration.

Everything Else

We’ve also added webhooks, targets, custom roles, custom statuses, trigger categories, tags, support addresses, locales, dynamic content, sharing agreements, OAuth clients, workspaces, and account/ticket settings. Every one of these gets the full Configly treatment: versioned snapshots, visual diffing, What-If simulation, and dependency mapping.

Restructured Navigation

With 42 types, a flat list doesn’t work. The sidebar now mirrors the Zendesk Admin Centre layout with collapsible groups: Objects & Rules, People, Channels, Account, Apps & Integrations, Guide, and AI. If you know where to find something in Zendesk, you’ll find it in the same place in Configly.

Smart Plan Detection

Not every Zendesk instance has access to every feature. Routing, custom objects, and other enterprise-tier capabilities require specific plan levels. Configly detects this automatically — if your plan doesn’t include a feature, that type is hidden rather than showing confusing error messages. Upgrade your Zendesk plan and the types appear on your next sync.

Why This Matters

Configuration drift isn’t limited to triggers and automations. An app installation gets updated, a routing rule changes, a Help Centre permission group gets modified, a custom object field gets renamed — these are all changes that can break workflows and are nearly impossible to track manually.

With 42 object types under management, Configly gives you a single pane of glass across your entire Zendesk configuration. Every change is captured, every version is stored, and every impact can be simulated before you commit.

Getting Started

If you’re already using Configly, head to Settings on your connection and enable the new types you want to track. Hit Sync Now and you’ll see your expanded configuration within minutes.

If you’re not using Configly yet, we’re currently in beta.
